On Day 8, our last day in Oman, after a delicious

On Day 8, our last day in Oman, after a delicious South Indian sadya meal at Ananthapuri in Muscat, some last minute shopping, packing all our beautiful memories tightly in our suitcases, we left with a heavy heart for the airport. What a wonderful, memorable trip this has been! Will miss you Oman! ❤️🪬 31st Jan, 2026.

Day 7 saw us leave early for the quaint lil fishin

Day 7 saw us leave early for the quaint lil fishing town of Sur. Places we visited were Qalhat, Maryam’s Mausoleum, Wadi Tiwi, Wadi Shab, Pebble Beach (the most beautiful water I’ve ever seen), Fins Beach, and the historic Bimmah Sinkhole which was caused hundreds of years ago by a meteorite falling. A very happening day indeed! 30th Jan, 2026!

Day 5 - After a scrumptious breakfast at the Millennium hotel, we visited the Muscat Grand Mall, did some shopping and then drove to the absolutely breathtaking Daykah Dam. The turquoise water and the crazy skies took our breath away! On our way back, dropped into Ramez for some more shopping! Day 2 in Muscat - We visited the beautiful Sultan Qaboos Mosque,
Al Tawrah Hot Springs where you can dip in your feet in the warm sulphur water for a free fish spa, on the way back we stopped at the Marina View point for a scenic view of the Bay, then off to see the China Market, the main Muthrah Souq where we shopped for spices and the mandatory fridge magnets! Khatti Meethi Khichadi using Farmside Superior Indrayani Rice

Recipe- Soak for 1/2 an hour- 1/2 cup of yellow moong dal with 1 cup of Farmside Indrayani Rice. Heat 2 tbsp oil of your choice directly in a small cooker. Make a tadka of 1 tsp mustard seeds, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp fenugreek seeds, 1 tsp cumin seeds, a few curry leaves, 2 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp grated ginger, 1 tsp grated garlic, 1 large tomato chopped, 1 medium onion chopped, a pinch of hing powder. Soak a lemon-sized ball of tamarind in 1/2 cup of hot water. After 15 mins sieve it and keep the pulp ready. Now add the rice and dal, tamarind pulp and 2 tbsp of jaggery powder (I forgot to film this part, sorry!) and salt to taste. Add 3 cups of water, mix well and close the lid. Switch off the gas after two whistles. In another small kadhai, heat 3 tbsp oil and make a garlic tadka with 8-10 cloves finely chopped garlic with 2-3 dry red chillies. Fry the garlic till it’s golden brown. Open the cooker lid, inhale the delicious aroma, transfer to a serving bowl, top with garlic tadka and chopped coriander leaves. Add a generous dollop of ghee and enjoyyy a lip-smacking Khatti Meethi Khichadi! 😃Serve it with pickle, papad, curd or chops of your choice.
