New York City does not allow overnight parking of commercial vehicles on residential streets between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. If you own a commercial vehicle other than a semi-trailer, you could get a $65 ticket for overnight parking in a residential area. (d) A county or municipality that receives a petition under clause (c) may make the installation of the signs conditional on the residents of the residential subdivision bearing the cost of providing the signs.
